We're all a little Nutty

Life has been a whirlwind since Mckay came home.  Catching up on doctor and dentist appointments, preparing for school next semester, finding an apartment.  Plus planning a stake youth volleyball tournament, prepping for various school dances, attending soccer games, concerts and performances for the other kids.  And Sam battling bronchitis for a month.  And Christmas.  And sharing my car with 3 other drivers.  Thank heaven that I have good friends to talk with so that I can save money on therapy. ;) Nevertheless, all is well and we are truly blessed. Here are some of my favorite moments from the past several months... Everyone wants to sit next to Mckay Dillon and Sophie looked fantastic for Homecoming.  (I even made her corsage!) After thinking about it for years now, I finally did it.  We put together 12 bags to hand out to homeless people over the holidays.  They were water, juice, granola bars, toilet paper, and hand warmers in a gallon size ziploc bag.  Nothing too exciting, but hopefully useful.  It was going to make Christmas meaningful because every time we were out and about we would certainly see someone in need and be able to extend kindness to them. Or so we thought. The first bag went to a man I saw at the grocery store that was raving about getting a pomegranate for 25 cents.  He had ripped it open with his hands and was eating it as he walked through the parking lot.  It was cold outside and he carried a large backpack on his back.  I approached him at the edge of the parking lot and asked him if he was hungry.  I told him that my kids and I had put some things together that might be useful to him.  He was super gracious but essentially said "no t...
