I Smell Winter
It's a good thing I haven't had Covid yet because at least I can still smell. And that's about all there is to do with winter these days. It reminds me of a Housemartins song... There's a chill down my spine (I smell) But the weather's fine (Winter) I smell winter on his breath You can smell it because no storms blowing through means the inversion locks the cold, polluted air in. You can feel it because it's not quite cold enough to keep you indoors. Hardly a bit of snow since Christmas. It's like fake winter. Aside from my laments about no winter, we've been keeping busy. Here are some highlights: We rang in the New Year by having a ginger beer tasting and then building marshmallow & toothpick sculptures and lighting them on fire in the street. We're wild and crazy. Because of sickness, the team decided not to attend a swim meet in St. George, but since we already had reservations, we went to enjoy the great outdoors instead. We've go...
