Friends are Blessings From Heaven
"Friendships might be sparked by geography, but they last by loyalty." (Gail Miller, "Courage to Be You") I recently read a book by Gail Miller entitled, "Courage to Be You." If you don't know of her, she and her husband Larry, owned the Utah Jazz NBA team (up until last week). She seems like the type of person that you'd feel comfortable talking to, even though she makes much more each year than most of us do. Among other topics, she spoke candidly about her need for friends at all times in her life. Her words hit home with me because even though some of us seem like we've got it all together on the outside, most of us are carrying burdens that we need support and strength to get through. We can all feel lonely, even when surrounded by others. I know lots of people and feel comfortable around most of the people I interact with. Many of these, I would even classify as good friends.
