We're all a little Nutty

Lee blew us all away at church today when the Sunday School teacher asked if there was someone who could tell us what the 4th Article of Faith was. In his usual confident way, he began by rehearsing it very quickly, but then he stopped halfway through and said, "I'm probably going too fast...maybe I should sing it." And then he did. Yes it's true. He broke into song and sang the entire Primary Songbook version of the 4th Article of Faith, with precision and flair. I couldn't believe he kept going and everyone's jaws were dropped to the floor. He received applause, and everyone did eventually catch their breath and move forward. One person commented aloud that they were surprised he didn't have the confidence to join the ward choir. What a guy! We just got back from a great trip together in San Francisco, where we packed as much as was humanly possible into the three days we were there. Here's our leopard. He has had a reaction to his MMR shot. It doesn't seem to bother him at all, but I don't think he'll be well received by any public appearances anytime soon. And here's the lion. He roared at Lizzie and I during lunch and we both "screamed" in terror. So, it became a game and he got to the point where he was laughing so hard he could hardly roar. ...and then the fog rolled in. Saturday morning it just descended upon us and hung around for about an hour, then went on it's way. Very cool. ...and this made me laugh. Ian figured out that if he sat on this toy it would work just the same. The video didn't capture it very well (and sorry it's sideways), but it struck me as funny anyway..

Lizzie always asks for a free cookie from the grocery store. When we were shopping together on Saturday, she said, "I know how they make these papers." (You know? The ones they use to grab your cookie or doughnut with so you don't get their germs?) "They take a wet wipe and then they put them in something that heats up, like a microwave or oven, and then they take it out and they feel it and put tracings in it and then it's all done." So, there you have it. Those "sanitary" grabbing papers are really dried up wet wipes. My kids are brilliant!
