Two days ago, we celebrated our 24th anniversary. Where have the years gone? I felt so content as we walked downtown for dinner and then walked back again. I am a fortunate woman to have such a wonderful husband and such a good life together.
Even a phone call informing me "Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad. Ummm...this isn't the news you wanted, but I just ran into the back of someone in Dad's [newly repaired] car" didn't ruin our day. Well, it didn't ruin mine, anyway. ;)
We have come to the end of a long, hot, summer, but it was filled with grand adventures...
We had lots of fun with friends and both sides of our extended family.
| Dinner with the Bowldens!! |
| Dinner and croquet with the Walls! |
| Dinner with the Moore family! |
| Backyard neighbor ice cream party |
| Family picnic...that's 4 generations of Jensen men there! |
| These are the Jensens that hiked and camped in the Wind Rivers for a week |
| Adults and kids competed together in our family obstacle course at an Evans family birthday party. |
| Lots of people were missing, but we still had a great time at our Evans reunion at Steineker Lake |
Ian's team played baseball all the way through July, taking 1st in the city league and competing in the state playoffs.
| Ian played catcher nearly every inning of nearly every game. |
Lizzie looks forward to swim team each summer. She is graceful and strong and so fun to watch.
We hiked a 9 mile loop around the mountains next to our house on the 4th of July and walked a 5k together on the 24th of July.
We even took time to help our amazing mayor run for U.S. Congress.
The kids are back in school so I'm enjoying being back in a regular routine again.
The trees are turning red on the mountain tops.
Life is good.
That mayor Curtis photo turned out well!
