Not forgotten (even though your mailbox is empty)

It's Dillon's birthday this week.  I mailed his package a month ago but don't have much faith that it will arrive before Thanksgiving, if even at all.  So, I'll pay tribute to him in a blog post instead.

Dillon gets to call home every week.  It is good to see and hear him and have some quiet one on one time to visit (while everyone else is usually at school and work).  He is doing well.  See?
Sometimes there is no audio so it is more a silent film with subtitles.  But it is lovely nonetheless.

Nearly every week in his emails he invites his admiring fans to go get some pizza.  We had so much pizza in the weeks prior to Dillon's departure that we honestly haven't had hardly any since he left.  But, we had some yesterday that came with cardboard pop-out mustaches, so we documented it for Dillon to know we loved him.  We're nice like that.  Happy Birthday, sonny boy!

Thanks to all of you who read Dillon's emails.  Thanks to those of you that write him back occasionally.  And thanks to those of you who eat pizza, thus keeping the local establishments in business so they'll still be here when Dillon gets home.

Hopefully he's feeling the love.

Right back at you son!
